Phishing resources for personal accounts

Phishing emails or text messages may appear to come from a company you trust and claim that there is a problem with your account or your payment information. The email or message asks you to click on a link to fix the issue. Once the link is clicked, the scammers can install malicious software on your computer and gain access to your data and accounts. Be on the lookout for generic greetings, vague language, and a sense of urgency.

If you’ve clicked on a phishing link, visit https://fightcybercrime.org/phishing/ for recovery help.
